We are a manufacturer of high-performance diamond tools for the stone working industry.
We have five production facilities, six sales companies and more than thirty representative offices worldwide to provide our customers with support in all questions concerning the application of diamond tools.

Our history:

1. 1847 Establishment of a workshop in Brachstedt near Halle.

2. 1854 Relocation of business to Hamburg.

3. 1880 The owner writes to a customer: "I set up my business in 1847, and have
   always endeavoured to satisfy people – not by low prices, but by good
   products ...".

4. 1887 Production of diamond-tipped circular sawblades for sawing stone.

5. 1955 Establishment of production facility at Rottenbauer near Würzburg.

6. 1957 Establishment of our sales company in France.

7. 1960 Establishment of production facility and office building in Norderstedt near Hamburg.

8. 1968 Establishment in Greece of what is now our largest production facility, and creation of our sales company in Italy.

9. 1970 Establishment of our sales company in South Africa.

10. 1976 The company delivers the first diamond circular sawblade with a diameter of 2.700 mm.

11. 1977 Development of stepped segments for large circular sawblades.
    Completion of development of Wispero sawblades with
    noise-reducing cores.
    Establishment of our sales company in Spain.

12. 1980 The company delivers the first diamond circular sawblade with a diameter of 3.500 mm for granite.

13. 1984 Establishment of our sales company in India.

14. 1987 Market leader in multi-blade granite tools.

15. 1997 Celebration of the 150th company anniversary.

16. 1999 World wide implementation of an integrated Software system gives the company a logistical leadership in this sector.

17. 2003 WINTERSTONE is integrated in the group Wheelabrator Allevard.

18. 2006 The company delivers the first diamond circular sawblade with a diameter of 4.000 mm.

19. 2007 Establishment of our sales company in Turkey.

20. 2004/2007 WINTERSTONE worldwide the leading company in diamond tools.
