What Is Granite Calibratig?

What Is Granite Calibratig?
There are instances when granite needs to be sold in specific sizes, and therefore granite blocks that come from quarrying sites need to be trimmed or cut in uniformed sizes, so that it can be more manageable when it is used in construction. The surface of granite pieces also need to be identical so that they all fit properly when installed in a construction site, so that the safety of people that pass near these granite surfaces are not sacrificed.

Before granite pieces are released from a granite manufacturing plant, granite pieces undergo a process called granite calibratig. Granite calibratig is a corrective and preventive action procedure that includes authority to stop the production or any other process, if the granite pieces do not conform to the specified quality required. Non conforming products can include granite pieces that are found to be of an uneven surface.

Granite calibratig provides access to the preventive and corrective action processes that can solve, verify, and review all corrective and preventive actions. A log is used to record any activities of non conformity and is kept and updated as they occur. Correct leveling and resurfacing of granite is performed when it fails to pass the calibration process. A granite calibration sticker for the surface plate is given by a professional calibration service that provides the company selling the granite with a traceable certification together with a calibration sticker. Trained technicians conduct the calibration and resurfacing of granite surface plates by using special tools that can generate a topographical profile, which show an overall contour of the granite surface plate.

Granite calibratig and ceramic calibrating are somewhat similar in process. The only difference lies in the fact that with ceramic calibrating, it is the ceramic surfaces that undergo the process of calibration instead of granite. Granite calibrating tools do not just improve quality related goals by resulting in fewer audit findings, but the improvement of the cost of quality and on time delivery of products are as important in improving profits, lowering operating expenses, or other business goals.
