What is Wheelgrit?

The term "Wheelgrit" is used to describe diamond (and sometimes cBN) abrasives used in precision machining applications such as grinding, honing and polishing. Element Six produces a wide range of diamond wheelgrit products in the PremaDia range which includes both natural and synthetic diamond. Element Six also produce a full range of cBN abrasives in the ABN range of products. Historically, wheelgrits were sometimes referred to as -80 US mesh products, as they are generally finer in size than saw grits. The PremaDia products offered by Element Six are available in a range of sizes from 60/80 US mesh to 325/400 US mesh. Products in the ABN range are available in sizes from 40/50 US mesh to 325/400 US mesh.
