What is natural Saw Grit?
Natural saw grit is produced from natural diamond particles which have been classified as non-gem stone quality and are not suitable for single crystal industrial tools. The natural saw grit products from Element Six are as follows; EMB, EMBS, Debdust I and Debdust II.
EMB and EMBS are engineered products for metal bonded or electroplated tools. EMB is a strong blocky grit with many re-entrant surfaces which help to reduce premature diamond loss. EMBS is similar in character to EMB, but with the addition of a surface treatment . The combination of a blocky shape and many re-entrant surfaces provide crystals with sharp cutting edges that are suited for use in free-cutting diamond tools for low powered tools. Debdust I and II are also engineered products for metal bond applications. They consist of blocky particles that have been produced with a more rounded particle shape, with Debdust I being the more engineered than Debdust II. These products are designed for use in slightly more demanding areas where EMB and EMBS may cleave too easily.
